And Then... We Went To Utah.

Just when you thought we couldn't travel any more in one summer with four little kids, we prove you wrong.  We packed up the kids and the car again and headed up to Utah to visit Temple Square and attend the Nilsson family reunion.  The trip was actually really great, for all of us, and a good end to a summer vacation. The kids got really excited when we took the tour inside the new Conference center because they recognized it immediately, and because it was huge!Zach lasted through the whole tour which ended up on the roof.  At that point the kids were wishing that all those pools weren't just for decoration. Our final stop that day was a the Visitor's Center for the Salt Lake Temple.  We had to take the kids by the statue of the handcart pioneers to end the day.  The week before we had left, we had a family home evening all about the pioneers and Brigham Young and the early saints building the temple. They were excited to see and touch something that was built so long ago.  I was so glad that they enjoyed it as much as they did... I was a little worried that they expected to still see oxen and covered wagons.  It was a really good day. These are all my Nilsson relatives who were able to attend the reunion.  They did a fantastic job of putting it together and cramming it full of entertainment!  There were pictures taken that didn't involve our tongues sticking out, but this one was my favorite.
And, yes, after spending so much time amongst the natives, you do end up becoming one of them!
