Going... Going...Gone!

Colin went in for his surgery today.  He had his tonsils and adenoids removed.  He was so very brave, nervous and half excited at the same time.  The nurses at the surgery center told him about all of the cool stuff he would get to do, like wear special pj's, breath in a "space man" mask and ride in a wheel chair.  I had to let him know ahead of time that it was also going to hurt when he woke up, just so he would be prepared and not panic.  The procedure went so quick and his doctor was tremendous.  The hardest part of the day was watching him adjust while "coming to" from the anesthesia.  He has spent most of the remainder of his day in bed watching Transformers cartoons and eating frozen Gogurts.  Thanks to all of you who thought about him today...Dad and Oma for watching Zach, Marilee for offering and coming over with a slush, Amy for the unbelievable, too-good-to-be-true meal, Heidi for the humidifier and thoughtful gift, and Pam & Andy for saving the favors from the party he missed!  You all rock!

BEFORE.......
AFTER.......
The wheelchair was enough of a highlight that he managed a smile.
Colin's "hospital room" for the next few days, right next to Mom and Dad's bed.
