Spring Break Economy Size! Day #1

Mike's cousin Ryan just recently posted a day-by-day account of their family Disneyland trip.  We'd thought we'd follow suit and give you the highlights of our spring break vacation at home.
Enjoy!

Emma is now expanding.  (Those of you who have ever had to suffer through this, I am positive Emma will accept any sympathy you have to offer.)

Grandma and Grandpa Rapier were kind enough to let us camp out in their backyard for the night.  We held family home evening in the tent, ordered Pirates Fish & Chips, and slept without the rainfly on so we could see the stars, or more importantly, the airplanes flying overhead.
We also set up the TV in the tent so the kids could stay up late and watch Open Season 2.  The kids loved it!  (I, on the other hand, only lasted about 10 minutes into the movie before my eyes permanently closed.)
Earlier that day we drove over to visit my Oma and Dad.  Their house is near the bridge just before McClintock that crosses over the freeway, so we took the kids there.  They had a blast just yelling at the cars trying to get someone to honk.  A big thank you to all those considerate citizens who did!!!
Day #1 turned out to be pretty successful.  Hope your spring break started out with a bang!

This is awesome. We are going to have to try the tent in the back yard thing with our kids since we have no idea when our next vacation might be. I can't wait for day 2.
